Our Expectation Of Heaven.

God is the Creator of all things and His creation is extraordinary. He derives joy in His prefect works, we are living proof of His beautiful works so how much more the splendid creation we are yet to see in His kingdom. With God’s spirit, His knowledge and power we can do a lot of things here on earth like explain our dwelling place, our planet , explore the hidden minerals and elements and a lot more. We are able to create many things here on earth, how much more when we dwell in His kingdom, we will be cable of creating what God wills for us. 

          I wonder why we think the way we do and have forgotten the scripture. He said I will create a new earth and heaven where there would be no sickness and many promised things .Yet we ponder ignorantly saying how will heaven be like if it entails worshipping God alone, it would be boring they would say ,God forbids such thought. God created us hence what we think proceeds from the heart He created, He sees how we think and our imaginary view of what we want or think His kingdom would be like. But God is a prefect creator definitely our expectation will never be cut short because the capacity to reason what could, should and would be, came from HIM.

This is exactly the idea that apostle Paul had in mind when he was writing his first letter to the Corinthian church. Quoting the prophet Isaiah, he told them, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

            In the book of ecclesiastical the lord God said He has placed an eternity of thought in our minds with total freedom to travel in thought. 

           Our mind is the greatest tool in serving God, no wonder the first step to connecting with God in totality is the mind . A total renewal of our mind is the first step to dwelling with God. 

           The real Question we should be asking ourselves is do we want to achieve heaven as a place and it’s reward or we want to be where God dwells , united with Him in love and harmony as one?

The most important expectation at the end of our life here on earth is to be where our Creator dwells and not necessarily all we can benefit from Him or His kingdom.

          With His perfect love in our heart and submission we will overcome and override desires, want and expectations because God’s presence is everything. Once God’s love is in our heart we would seek to be in His presence wherever He may be which could be anywhere and doing whatever pleases Him because our Creator is justified in demanding anything from us even if it means “worshipping “Him for eternity. 

           For God to consider a thought of your kind which He created is a privilege. He is the reason we live, we live for Him and in Him we are everything and can be anything He desire us to be for Him or do for Him. To Him we owe a gratitude. 

1 cor 2:9

“but just as it is written [in Scripture], “Things which the eye has not seen and the ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, who obey Him, and who gratefully recognize the benefits that He has bestowed].”

We do not  have the full ability to measure or determine the capacity of the good things to come in the new heaven and earth but I know we will be fulfilled when we are at peace and dwelling with God where-ever God will dwell and that is HEAVEN. 

           I think as Christians some of us have missed the whole point of achieving heaven which is our Creator, He is the One that matters ,without Him in heaven or anywhere nothing would have meaning. We are or should all be striving to be where He is United as one in harmony and nothing else. 

          We never existed to deserve anything .we came with nothing but as privileged creatures and we are constantly begging that as we leave this planet we should meet Him at peace with us as our Creator and He should do as He pleases with us. 

           Our goal of heaven and the heart we should have is to reunite with the one who truly loved us first before time began and for Him to accept us as sinful as we are because rejection from the only One that matters and truly loved us is worse than eternity in Hell.
